Lucky girl! I would take a puff of that cigarette, even though I don't smoke.<3 |
Ladies,
as aforementioned, I will be writing about my current visual novel
gaming hobby; specifically oyaji love romance. As you may already know,
the otome gaming hobby is pretty much limited to young handsome men and
there's nothing wrong with that, but it's nice to see older men. So in
2015, I came across an indie group that made oyaji romance RPG/visual
novel games. The group is called Otusun, managed by 2 women that have
quickly expanded to producing drama cds as well that feature older men.
The first work is called, The Bell Chimes For Gold.
Here's the story summary from dlsite:
Maria's talents earned her an early betrothal,
but the man she was supposed to marry chose her pretty friend.
"Surely you can make ends meet with your... other talents."
Though a cruel sentiment, Maria became determined to do so.
Choose how Maria makes ends meet in pursuit of the best life she can hope for.
You may seek money in the lecherous perverts you meet while exploring dungeons.
In the name of money, Maria does as we all: compromise.
There were 3 different releases for the game. The original was released for PC/Mac. The 2nd was adapted for android users. The 3rd is a completed version made for PC/Mac, with fully voiced character and extra cgs. Afterwards, the group released 2 spinoff visual novel games of the original, One Day with Maria and Mariaalbum with fully voiced characters.
At the moment the group currently has 3 games in production. I'm very excited for the RPG game, Monstoriotale. I'm also, anticipating the novel game, Crown Crown as well. The Bell Chimes For Gold 2 is in production, however, I'm not so excited about this game after reading the groups disclaimer about it's content: rape & violence. I admit, I adore dark elves and the art for it, but I just don't like dark fantasy. Honestly, I will still get it since I love the art though.
Currently,
the released games are all in Japanese, but the good news is that I've
checked out their blog and they are currently working on the English
version. Yah! Furthermore, all the drama cds are completely translated
in English, so
head on over to dlsite now. To help the indie group keep creating works
and for international users you can support them by subscribing to one
of the subscriptions on patreon. They have a drama cd making and a otome gaming
patreon site. Choose, which ever you want or both. :D You get special
or early access to cgs, works in progress, and voice dramas.
